Whittlesey Advances Leadership Excellence with Key Hires and Promotion

Whittlesey, a leading public accounting firm, is proud to announce the continued expansion of its leadership team with the addition of a new director and manager and the promotion of a team member to manager. These professionals bring extensive experience, expertise, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.

Angelo Olivieri has joined Whittlesey as an assurance director, bringing over 14 years of public accounting experience, including more than nine years at a large national accounting firm, where he served as a partner. Angelo specializes in healthcare, commercial entities, and nonprofit organizations. His experience also includes adopting artificial intelligence tools in the auditing profession. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. Angelo is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA). He serves on the Finance Committee at the Golf Club of Avon, is a former board member of Allies in Hope, and has volunteered as a coach for the Avon Soccer Club. As a recognized thought leader, Angelo has delivered presentations, including “Risks Shaping the Healthcare Landscape” at the Healthcare Financial Managers Association.

Keegan French has joined Whittlesey as an assurance manager. With more than five years of public accounting experience, Keegan specializes in manufacturing and distribution, alternative investments, and construction and property management. He also has experience in SEC financial reporting and public company audits conducted under PCAOB standards. In addition to traditional assurance engagements, Keegan provides outsourced controller and CFO services, outsourced accounting functions, financial department needs assessments, compliance services, and advisory services. He earned a Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Saint Anselm College. Keegan is a member of the AICPA and CTCPA. He has also served as a field advocate and Hartford-area event committee member for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Caitlin Nero has been promoted to assurance manager. Since joining Whittlesey in 2023 as an assurance supervisor, Caitlin has demonstrated exceptional performance and contributed to the success of the assurance department. With over seven years of public accounting experience, she focuses on serving nonprofit organizations and closely held businesses. Caitlin is a member of the AICPA and CTCPA and serves as a trustee on the CTCPA Accounting Scholarship Foundation board. She earned a Master of Science in Accounting from Albertus Magnus College and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Quinnipiac University.
