Whittlesey Manager Tom Wood Named One of Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty

Whittlesey is proud to announce that Assurance Manager Tom Wood has been named one of the Hartford Business Journal’s 2024 40 Under Forty honorees.

Tom has dedicated over 15 years to Whittlesey, focusing on assurance and advisory services for nonprofit organizations and foundations. Over the years, he has provided valuable insights into technical practices and client education.

Active in his community, Tom participates as a team leader in Whittlesey’s Community Day. His community involvement extends to volunteering with West Hartford’s Rotary Club and St. Dimitri Church Foundation. He has also served as Treasurer of the Capital Community College Foundation and was a member of the New & Young Professionals Network.

Tom is a member of Whittlesey’s leadership program, which aims to develop the next generation of the Firm’s leaders. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley College and a Master of Science in Accountancy.

Hartford Business Journal's 40 Under Forty annually recognizes 40 outstanding young professionals in the Greater Hartford area who excel in their industries through leadership roles. This year’s recipients were chosen from over 180 nominations and come from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. The winners will be honored at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford on September 19, 2024.
