Whittlesey Names New Directors

Whittlesey is pleased to announce Ian Cranston, Tom Dowling, David Modzelewski, Chris Nadeau, and John Trusler promotions to director, effective January 1, 2020.

Ian Cranston joined the Firm in 2006. He has over 18 years of experience in IT networking, analytics, consulting, and management. Ian earned a Bachelor of Science in Network Technology from Central Connecticut State University and a Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics. He is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE),  Certified Ethical Hacker (CeH) and Tableau Desktop Certified Associate. 

Tom Dowling joined the Firm in 2017. He has over 10 years of experience in assurance, tax, and advisory services. Tom’s primary focus is on assurance and advisory services for closely held businesses and nonprofits organizations. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), as well as the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).

David Modzelewski joined the Firm in 2008 and has over 15 years of experience in IT networking, consulting, and management. Dave leads the Firm’s IT process improvement initiative and specializes in aviation and financial service technologies. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology, Networking from Central Connecticut State University. Dave is a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).

Chris Nadeau joined the Firm in 2015 and has over 13 years of experience in public and private industry accounting. His primary focus is on business valuations for closely held businesses and professional service and medical practices. Chris is a member of the Firm’s Strategic Leadership Group. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and his Master of Science in Accounting from Westfield State University and is a member of AICPA, MSCPA, and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). Chris is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) a credential issued by the National Association for Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). 

John Trusler joined the Firm in 2019 and has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting and four years in the private sector, serving as the Chief Financial Officer for one of the largest multi-specialty for-profit medical groups in the Northeast region. John is the leader of the Firm’s healthcare niche and specializes in medical revenue cycle management, physician compensation and production analysis, budgeting and forecasting, overhead analysis, cash flow management, and KPI and dashboard development. John earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and is a member of the AICPA, as well as the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA).
