Whittlesey’s Melissa Braun Promoted to Partner

Whittlesey, a leading assurance, advisory, technology, and tax services provider, is pleased to announce the promotion of Melissa Braun, CPA, to Partner.

“Melissa brings a wealth of tax and advisory expertise to our clients. Over the years, Melissa has consistently displayed an exceptional ability to lead staff and provide our clients with outstanding service. In her new role as Partner, she will be instrumental in the Firm’s strategic direction, mentoring team members, and strengthening relationships with our clients,” said Managing Partner and CEO Drew Andrews.

She joined the Firm in 2012 and has over a decade of public accounting experience. Melissa began her career at Whittlesey as a tax associate and steadily rose through the ranks. Melissa has extensive tax and advisory experience with commercial, residential, and affordable housing real estate entities; financial institutions; construction, manufacturing, and closely held businesses; and high-net-worth individuals.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Mathematics minor from Sacred Heart University, and a Master in Professional Accountancy from Bryant University. Melissa is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA). She is an active member in the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network and the Connecticut Community Bankers Association and is a former member of the Executive Committee Member of the Community Accounting Services.
