Whittlesey Welcomes Stacy Farber as Assurance Partner

HARTFORD, Connecticut – January 6, 2025

Whittlesey, a leading regional accounting firm, is proud to announce that Stacy Farber, CPA, has joined the firm as an Assurance Partner. With over 25 years of experience in auditing and financial advising, Stacy specializes in assurance and advisory services for manufacturing, construction, closely held businesses, and employee benefit plans. Her deep understanding of regulatory requirements and steadfast commitment to fostering strong client relationships make her an integral addition to Whittlesey’s leadership team.

Before joining Whittlesey, Stacy served as an Assurance Partner and Connecticut Audit and Assurance Practice Leader at a national accounting firm. She also held the Northeast Benefit Plan Leader position, gaining extensive expertise in employee benefit plan audits. Additionally, Stacy brings hands-on financial management experience from her previous roles as Chief Financial Officer and Controller for closely held businesses.

Recognized for her exceptional contributions to the accounting profession, Stacy was named one of Hartford Business Journal’s 2023 Top Women in Business and received the prestigious 2024 CTCPA Distinguished Service Award. Her leadership extends beyond the profession to her community, where she has served on nonprofit boards and is an active member of several chambers of commerce.

Stacy is a longtime member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She will serve as the 2025/2026 CTCPA Employee Benefit Plan Committee Chairperson and will continue to be a member of the CTCPA Advisory Council. Stacy holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Accounting from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, and continues to engage in professional development, focusing on assurance and tax issues for closely held businesses.
